Civic Centre lifts malfunctioning
MIRI - Many people complain that lifts at the Civic Centre malfunctioning and has long been broken. They also ask the staff at the Civic Centre on the above mentioned lift problem, but they said the lift had long been abandoned without any maintenance.

Certain of the complainants said they had to cancel the event and their intention to use the hall because they do not want the guests especially the elderly have difficulty walking to go up to the hall upstairs.

Why the damage of the lifts is taking too long to fix it?  Does it need additional provision or indeed the lift is too old and can no longer be repaired.

Should this matter had long been resolved do not only when the VIPs come then the management repair the lift. Once the public wants to use it, they are forced to use the stairs to go up because of faulty lifts.

We urge that those who are responsible for managing building maintenance of Civic Centre immediately repair the above mentioned lift for use by of the public, especially to the elderly and who have difficulty walking distance to the upper floors.

The cooperation with the relevant authorities is highly appreciated.
