Ruang Parkir Terhad Menjejaskan Pendapatan Peniaga Melayu

Limited parking space affect the Malay traders income
MIRI – The Malay traders at the Piasau Jaya or better known as Piasau link urges the Miri City Council (MCC) to add another parking area at their business premises. Once again we received a complaint from the Malay traders who sell food and other consumer goods at the Piasau the difficulty of parking problems for the customers who want to buy groceries and food at the area of their business premises. Customers difficulty to park their vehicles occur especially at peak hour i.e. lunchtime and when they want to buy groceries.
According to one of trader known as Mak Mbok, their income somewhat affected due to parking space is too limited and narrow. He requested that the MCC can use the park facing a row of shophouses to be utilized as additional parking space. Furthermore, according to her, the park has been neglected offhand without any maintenance, and no visitors relaxing there.

We recommend that the MCC can ask and see personally, the site of the proposed site and can talk to the traders there to get more information about the problems they face all this while. Collaboration with the MCC and the parties concerned is very much appreciated, hopefully this problem can be resolved immediately regardless of race, religion and political affiliation.
