Kenaikkan harga barang keperluan
perlu dikaji semula
Harga
pihak Baitulmal perlu turun padang
melihat
sendiri keadaan mereka yang amat memerlukan bantuan sepatutnya mendapat bantuan
dengan sewajarnya.
Kita
rakyat.

Increase in price of essential
goods should be reviewed
Diesel
price rose 5 cents as well as the price of sugar was reported to have increased
by 11 cents per kilogram with immediate effect, the selling price for 1 kg of
sugar has increased from RM2.84 to RM2.95 quietly increased by 11 cents.
The rise
in prices of essential goods has indirectly become a burden on consumers,
especially those in low and middle income. They have to spend more to buy their
daily needs due to higher prices of transport and also the price of ingredients
that need sugar like cakes, drinks and so on.
Welfare
aid of RM300 per month to help the elderly today certainly not enough in a
state of an increase price of essential goods that have increased dramatically.
There are still many people who are categorized as poor and those without fixed
income to continue living in poor conditions, especially those living in the
suburbs. They are difficult to obtain welfare assistance because they did not
know how to get help as well as too much bureaucracy for assistance. Similarly,
the Baitulmal needs to come down witness those who dire need of assistance
should get assistance accordingly.
We urge
the government to review the best ways to overcome the problem of rising price
of essential goods in order not to burden the people. If the situation is
getting critical the government should give subsidies to these essential items so
as not to burden the people. The government should also have price controls and
ceiling price to avoid sharp price rise of essential goods thus burdening the
people.
We
suggest that the government increase the welfare assistance to all those in
need of assistance and provide comfortable living quarters for the people who
do not have a place to stay.
We hope
that the increase price of essential goods can be fully controlled by the
government so that it does not burden consumers and thus not burden the people.
