Tiang Letrik Ada Tapi Jalan Entah Ke mana?

There Are Electricity Pole But Where Are The Road?
MIRI - Kampong Usaha Jaya Middle Tukau, Sungai Beluboh Miri are in suburban areas still require basic facilities like clean water, electricity and paved roads. We saw the pillar of electricity poles stood as punting pole along the road entering the village, but so far there is no rural community house that lives there illuminated by neon lights.

We have heard few complaints from the villagers that they had already signed agreements with electricity suppliers (SESCO) Miri to connect electricity to their homes several months ago but until now not even one of the SESCO workers who came to install meters to their homes.
We also wonder usually if there is a government project construct in a village like electrical installations for rural residents and village roads, at least there are stones piled up the road, but a different case in the Middle Tukau Village which such as way of the buffalo wallowing path. The Pillars of Electric Street installed everywhere as if there is a project to facilitate access to their village but maybe the community does not know about it. Just like Sarawakian said the muddy roads.

Until now you only can see the electric pole but the entrance to the village is still far behind as if you are in 50s – 80s. Residents had to work alone or work together to build roads for the convenience of their own village. If you expect the government will do it until when you will get a good roads to the rural village.

What is the real purpose of their installation electricity poles in the area? Of course they have other purpose, that's why people who have land in Tukau say that their land that has no title will be relocated or will be taken by the government for occupying the state land. Among other reasons there might be housing projects or farm to be constructed in the land.

Proper roads are required by the villagers to facilitate their daily business to the City to sell their agricultural produce and livestock and send their children to school. We also understand that when former Lambir Assemblyman who had visited the village last year and he has promised to bring complaints faced by the village to the parties concerned, but had a dozen petitions and complaints made but this continues without any action taken by the authorities.

Where did the provisions of the billions of ringgits to the rural population? If things continue this way there is no meaning for the federal government allocated billions of ringgits for rural projects but did not bring any results for people in rural areas even though we do not deny it exists but is limited to specific parties only.

Do not give the same excuse every time when meet the people that the government is not enough provision or call upon the people to be patient where this things are not happening in two or three years ago, but has been happened many years past. How long will people be patient and wait? Where is the guarantee that those responsible can fulfill their promises?

So we urge the government do not let the people who have been occupying the land and gardening in the land to be driven out without any compensation and given a more comfortable living with adequate basic facilities.. It is better for the Government to give land ownership to those who have been living and farming there, particularly to the indigenous people living in poverty and dependent on agriculture. Similarly, the poor Chinese community should also be given attention by the ruling because the PAS and Pakatan Rakyat fighting for all regardless of race or religion. We hope that those responsible to take seriously with the problems of the people as mentioned above.
