Masalah Masjid Di Miri, Kemana Pergi Menteri Agama Hal Ehwal Islam Sarawak?

Problem Mosque in Miri, Where Goes the Minister of Religious (Islamic Affairs) of Sarawak?
Masjid Al Taqwa is located in the middle of Miri city and often leak problems when heavy rainy season.

Recently, the Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui visited the great mosque of Miri in the process of renovation.

PAS Miri had voiced the problems of mosque in Miri and receive an answer in a bit frustrating when the minister in charge of Islamic affairs, said "... No roof leaks occur at the mosque of Miri and it is still in good condition.. ". If the Miri mosque is still in good condition it does not mean that no other problems that need to take note as the roof leaks that often occur when heavy rainy season and this will damage the image of Miri City mosque when they were visitor coming from outside to come for prayers and visit the mosque.

We raised the issue of this mosque is not for political purposes but more on comfort and safety of those who use the mosque. We have raise this issue from the beginning to the minister in charge of Islamic affairs of Sarawak to come in person to visit mosque in Miri that have a damage problem, but the strange thing now is the minister who is not in charge of religion affairs is often came to visit to Miri mosque.

The visit of Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui to the Miri mosque at least to see the damage and the progress of the rehabilitation of the mosque and would like to know how much the cost of the damage to the mosque if it is not enough.

Although his visit despite of possible specific agenda for the coming of 13th General Election (GE13) , but the person who should come and check the mosques throughout Sarawak was the minister in charge of Islamic affairs rather than those who do not relevant.

Similarly, the problem of the construction of the new mosques in Senadin that until now been no progress after almost one year. They should be taking charge of the Islamic Affairs and the welfare of Muslims in Sarawak to be concerned with the problems of Muslims in Sarawak and not only just busy when the election season came.

We urge the Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs) Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman to carry out the trust to be fair to all people regardless of group of pupils and political affiliation. PAS has always wanted to work with all parties for the welfare of all people regardless of race, religion and political belief.
