Kebajikan rakyat mesti diutamakan jangan hanya kepentingan politik didahului.

Muslim population in Senadin Request for Mosque
Photos of the Senadin Mosque project site is still isolated

The population density in Senadin residential areas cause the existing prayer place (surau) is too small for Muslim congregation to perform prayers. According to a resident in the area who has contacted PAS Miri said that the mosque construction in residential areas they have yet to be developed due to lack of funds. So far the money donated by the public has yet to be fully utilized since the landfill cost at the site of the mosque is too high.

He said the land endowment project for the mosque has been proposed since 2001.
Until now the land works approval (Demolition / Evenly and Landfill) are in the process.
The cost of transport is too expensive and the effort to fill the land can not be performed since the allocation is insufficient.

Cost allocation to build the mosque was estimated in five (5) million ringgits of which can accommodate a congregation of one thousand people. The Muslim population in the Senadin housing areas appealed to the government and the ministries in charge of the affairs of the mosque to go down to the site and to help resolve the problem immediately without waiting any longer.

PAS Miri concerned with the problems of Muslims in Senadin as they awaited promises by BN leaders to help the Muslims to build a mosque in Senadin but until now they still hope that these promises will be fulfilled before the General Election (GE13). The increase of Muslim population has reached almost thousands of people and they wish to see a mosques built at they areas in which has been long overdue until today. With this mosque Muslims in the area will be able to perform Friday prayers in comfort as well as for them to deliver five times prayers and also for the prayers of the Ramadan feast.

The mosque can also be used by the population of Muslim for a study and their children learn the Koran and prayer. A lot of good thing can be used with the mosque later. We expect the relevant authorities to take serious note of this problem and act promptly for the benefit of all. Welfare of the people must prevail first not only for the political interests led.
