Kebocoran Masjid At-Taqwa Miri Perlu Dibaik Pulih Sepenuhnya

Miri At-Taqwa Mosque leak should be a complete overhaul
MIRI - At-Taqwa mosque recently has been restored in the past few months, which is placed tile floor and looks pretty, but unfortunately the dome and ceiling leaks still occur.

When the downpour season the leakage would have been happened, which the mosque management had to put a bucket to collect water dripping from the ceiling or roof of the mosque.

Most likely it is due to an old mosque dome and not fully repaired, which contained water on the roof around the dome is leaking when filled by rainwater.

We have received complaints from the public who said that the allocation to renovate At-Taqwa mosque had been used but the roof leakage problem unresolved until now while refurbishment project has already been expired a few months ago.

Previously Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui had visited a At-Taqwa mosque Miri, which in the process of upgrading and he also promised to provide additional provisions to overcome the mosque roof leaks but the problem has yet to be resolved.

Provisions already used hundreds of thousands of ringgit even can reach millions of ringgit just to repair the mosque, but the mosque dome leakage has yet to be fully resolved. This will only be a waste of public money if it cannot be fully resolved.

We suggest to the authorities to replace the dome and the roof of the mosque with a new one. It should be a complete overhaul not just patching, which is easily damaged and eventually involve high costs for repairing again.

This matter must be resolved immediately because the At-Taqwa mosque is the main mosque of the Miri city where tourists or Muslims come to perform the prayers there.

We hope this gets due attention from the government to solve the problem as soon as possible for the benefit of the Muslims performing their prayers in it.
