Buka Pili Air, Keluar Angin?
LAMBIR - Kampung Lusut Jaya 3 terletak dalam parlimen Sibuti, dan penduduknya kebanyakan adalah bumiputera, kaum Ulu, Kenyah, Kayan, Iban dan terdapat juga keluarga Melayu.

Baru-baru ini kita mendapat aduan dari penduduk Kampung Lusut Jaya 3 yang mengalami masalah bekalan air yang terputus. Menurut salah seorang penduduk di situ yang dikenali sebagai Osman, mengatakan yang mereka terpaksa mengunakan air takungan dari tangki yang mereka beli sendiri untuk mendapatkan air sebab air paip tidak dapat digunakan sepenuhnya.

Walaupun ada paip besar dihujung jalan kampung Lusut Jaya, tetapi masalahnya tekanan air paip untuk sampai ke rumah mereka sangat rendah. Apabila dibuka pili air yang keluar hanya angin.

Mereka sudah lama memohon bekalan air bersih sejak tahun 2008 sehingga kini masalah bekalan air bersih masih belum dapat diatasi sepenuhnya.
Mereka terpaksa berkongsi meter air utama dan disambung pula dengan meter air persendirian di rumah masing-masing. Mereka juga terpaksa membayar setiap bulan RM5 untuk mendapat bekalan air paip tersebut, sedangkan air paip tidak mengalir keluar.
Mereka sangat kecewa dengan sikap pihak yang bertanggungjawab dalam urusan bekalan air yang tidak menghiraukan masalah mereka.

Penduduk kampung Lusut Jaya juga memohon kepada pihak kerajaan agar membekalkan tangki air 1Malaysia kepada mereka kerana ada kampung yang berdekatan sudah pun menerima tangki air tersebut.

Disamping masalah bekalan air bersih, kawasan peparitan juga tidak teratur dengan baik dimana apabila musim hujan kawasan perumahan mereka dibanjiri oleh air hujan.

Air longkang yang bertakung dan tersumbat akan melimpah keluar dan ini menyebabkan kawasan perumahan mereka banjir.

Air longkang yang bertakung juga adalah tempat paling sesuai untuk pembiakan nyamuk Aedes terutama sekali selepas musim hujan.

Untuk mengelakkan penduduk di situ dari terkena penyakit denggi, pihak yang berwajib seharusnya segera mengatasi masalah peparitan di kawasan perumahan.

Kita mengesa pihak LAKU (Lembaga Air Kawasan Utara), JKR (Jabatan Kerja Raya) dan mereka yang bertanggungjawab dalam urusan hal ehwal masyarakat segera mengatasi masalah ini dari terus berlanjutan.

Kerjasama dengan semua pihak yang terlibat untuk menyelesaikan masalah kampung Lusut Jaya 3 amat dihargai.
Bertindaklah dengan segera tanpa mengira bangsa dan agama demi menjaga kesihatan dan keselamatan rakyat bukannya hanya bertindak apabila tiba musim pilihanraya saja.

Open water taps, air out?
LAMBIR - Lusut Jaya 3 village located in Sibuti parliamentary, and most of the population is indigenous, ethnic Ulu, Kenyah, Kayan, Iban and there is also a Malay family.

Recently we received complaints from the residents of Lusut Jaya 3 village who are experiencing disconnected water supply problems.

According to one of the residents are known as Osman, said that they had to use water tank, they buy their own tank to get the water because the tap water could not fully utilized.

Although there is a large pipe at the end of the Lusut Jaya village road, but the problem is the water tap pressure to reach their homes is very low. When opened the water tap that comes out just the air.

They have been applied for clean water supply since 2008 until now the problem of water supply has yet to be fully resolved.

They have to share the main water meter and continued with private water meters to their homes. They also had to pay RM5 per month to get piped water, whereas the water pipe does not flow out.

They are very disappointed with the attitude of those responsible in managing the water supplies disregard their problems.

Lusut Jaya villagers also apply to the government to provide the 1Malaysia water tank to them because there is a nearby village had already received the tank.

In addition to the problem of clean water supply, drainage area is also not well organized where when the rainy season their residential areas flooded by rain water.

Stagnant water and clogged drains overflow and this will cause flooding of their residential areas.

Stagnant water drains is also the best place for mosquito breeding especially after the rainy season.
 To avoid the residents from dengue affected, the authorities should immediately resolve drainage problems in residential areas.

We urge the LAKU (Northern Region Water Board), PWD (Public Works Department) and those responsible for community affairs immediately solve this problem from continue ongoing.

The cooperation with all parties involved to solve the problems of the Lusut Jaya 3 village is highly appreciated.
